- ‘Business Consultant / Analyst in Financial Services’ (junior - senior experienced)
As a member of the growing business consulting team, the Business Consultant/Analyst will be part of project teams that work on transformation projects exclusively in the Financial Services Industry and Capital Markets.
The Business Consultant/Analysts work on strategic issues such as operational processes, product development, market entry, front-middle and back-office processing, with clients such as Private banks and Asset Managers, Retail and Investment Banks, Central Banks, Depositories and International Clearing Organizations.- Development and understanding of client strategic direction, issues and project goals
- Conduct structured data gathering, research and analysis
- Develop and help evaluate procedures, controls, user requirements and functional specifications
- Assist in documenting, evaluating and translating business architectures and needs into IT application and technical architectures
- Prepare, attend and participate in, help facilitate and document client meetings and workshops
- Develop high quality presentations/reports to effectively communicate project findings
- Assist in implementation of strategies and integrated solutions to address client needs
- Assist in development of new opportunities: conduct market/client research and analysis.
- Development and understanding of client strategic direction, issues and project goals
- Profile:

- Demonstrates deep knowledge and industry drivers of current industry technology solutions.
- Supports implementation, testing and contingency plans and understands key dependencies, risks and milestones.
- Actively communicates development status and project risks to client. Understands and communicates implications related to the technology risks.
- Demonstrates flexibility in approach and applies knowledge and experience across a number of industry and functional areas.
- Demonstrates ability to work in a diverse project team (company & Client Staff) whose members have varied functional responsibilities.
- Communicates openly and honestly to provide a clear sense of direction.
- Shows willingness to travel and work at client site in balance with work/family life.

- Have a solid background in at least one of the following product or functional areas: Corporate and Investment Banking, Market Infrastructure Providers, Retail and Private Banking, Back-office processing (e.g. Clearing and Settlement), Dealing and Trading, Portfolio Management, Risk or Asset Management.
- Strong understanding of business and market dynamics, financial practices and supportive technologies in the Financial Services industry.
- A true consultant with strong analytical and quantitative skills, solid client facing capabilities and the ability to think, write and present in a logical and structured way.
- Communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with managers and clients, discussing complex ideas and developing project deliverables.
- Eager to travel and work in cross-border/cross-disciplined teams at client site.
- Evidence of continued personal growth and well-structured career progression.
- Fluent in English and Dutch and at least 1 other major European language, preferably French.
- Well experienced with Microsoft Office Applications (e.g. Excel, Powerpoint and Word).
- University degree and at least 2 years of project experience in the Financial Services or Capital Markets Industry, preferably within a consulting environment.
- Senior profiles should have 4 years of experience and having led a small team.
